Progression
From nobody to name
Every character climbs the same machine: levels 1-100 fed by rank EXP from kills, ten ranks per race ladder unlocked through story quests, and Soul Points — +5 per level — spent on the stat sheet.
The stat sheet
Stats
| Stat | Description |
|---|---|
| Reiryoku | Spiritual energy pool (Max Reiryoku / Current Reiryoku). Starts at 100 and can be raised with Soul Points up to a base cap of 500; clan bonuses can push it past the cap. Max Reiryoku also determines Max Health. |
| Defense | Damage reduction shown as a percentage. Base allocation caps at 20 points; the effective value is computed at runtime as base + race bonus + clan bonus. Rank-ups stage additional defense unlocks (Def +1 through Def +4). |
| Zanjutsu | Swordsmanship stat, allocation cap 50. Feeds the derived Kendo Stat that unlocks abilities in the Kendo skill tree. |
| Speed | Movement stat, capped at 20 points. Also grows gradually from Shunpo/flashstep use. |
| Kido | Spell stat, allocation cap 50. Feeds the derived Kido Stat that unlocks spells in the Kido skill tree. |
| Level | Character level from 1 to 100, raised by earning rank EXP from kills. Level thresholds gate the ten ranks of each race ladder. |
| Rank | Current rank name on the race ladder (e.g. Lieutenant, Sternritter, Adjuchas). Rank advancement is applied by story quest rewards, with a rank-up ceremony on promotion. |
| Soul Points | Stat allocation currency. New characters start with 5 and gain +5 per level, spent on Reiryoku, Kido, Zanjutsu, and Defense from the stat sheet. |
| Reikaku | Spiritual perception, capped at 50. Gates whether you can see and interact with high-tier spirits: Adjuchas-class entities require 26 Reikaku, Vasto Lorde-class require 40. Players below 26 Reikaku are also covered by new-player protection. |
| Kendo Stat | Derived melee mastery value (shown as Kendo Level on the stat sheet) that unlocks Kendo skill-tree abilities. |
| Kido Stat | Derived casting mastery value that unlocks Kido skill-tree spells. |
| Spiritual Pressure | Pressure gauge displayed on the stat sheet on a 0-100 bar. |

The machinery
Core systems
Leveling & Soul Points
Kills grant rank EXP: 5-8 from hostile mobs at low level (5 from level 16 up), and 12 (8 from level 16 up) for player kills with a 1-day PVP reward cooldown per attacker. Required EXP per level is 25 + 15×L through level 4, then 50×L + 50. Every level grants +5 Soul Points to spend on Reiryoku, Kido, Zanjutsu, or Defense. Hollows earn 25% less EXP from hostile mobs and 25% more from players, and Vasto Lorde Hollows stop leveling at 30 until they tear their mask. Rank promotions themselves come from story quest rewards.
Skill Trees (Kendo & Kido)
Two parallel trees opened from the skill tree screen. Spending points on Zanjutsu and Kido raises your Kendo and Kido stats, which unlock new techniques. Kendo works for every melee race; Kido casting belongs to Shinigami and Vizard. Current Kido spells: Sho, Byakurai, Sokatsui, Sai, Sekienton, Rikujokoro.
Clans
Every player is assigned a random clan from their race's pool once, right after confirming a race on first join. Each race has 22 clans across four rarities (1 Mythical, 5 Legendary, 6 Rare, 10 Common); higher rarities grant Reiryoku, Zanjutsu, Kido, and Speed bonuses plus extra Defense.
Reikaku (Spiritual Perception)
Perception stat capped at 50 that controls what spirits you can see and fight: Adjuchas-class entities need 26 Reikaku, Vasto Lorde-class need 40. It is also the new-player protection threshold — players below 26 Reikaku cannot be attacked by (or attack) players past it, unless they opt out of protection.
